ibuprofen!

I went to the pharmacy in the building where I work to see about getting some ibuprofen. Years ago, when I had a wisdom tooth pulled, I got ibuprofen through a prescription, and ever since then, I've wondered whether ibuprofen is considered a prescription drug in Korea, and not an over-the-counter drug like in the States. So I spent days and days memorizing and forgetting the Korean word for "prescription" (cheobangjeon, 처방전), just so I could go into the pharmacy and ask, "Does ibuprofen require a prescription?" I posed just that question to the lady behind the counter this evening, and she happily told me that no prescription was necessary. I had wanted 30 days' worth of the medicine, but it came in those large, awkward boxes-of-ten, so I bought only three boxes. I'll use the capsules, one per day, in conjunction with aspirin and right before I sleep so as to—I hope—derive the maximum benefit.

There remain only a couple more days before I have to be totally prepped. I've got some housekeeping issues to take care of, e.g., getting my toilet fixed (the seal at the base is cracked, and the toilet leaks ever so slightly) and getting zipper tabs replaced on my shoulder bag, but aside from that, there's not much else left to do. I'm pretty much ready to get started... although Weather.com is forecasting morning rain for this coming Saturday. Great.
